JAKARTA, Headline24.id – BRI disburses Rp10.18 trillion in Housing KUR until June 20, 2026, becoming the bank with the largest contribution to the national housing financing program. This amount is equivalent to approximately 52 percent of the total realization of Housing KUR, which has reached Rp19.2 trillion nationally.

The significant contribution is considered one of the main factors driving the acceleration of Housing KUR disbursement in the first semester of this year. The program, expanded by the government to the housing sector, is also part of efforts to accelerate housing development and support the growth of the national property industry.

BRI Disburses Rp10.18 Trillion in Housing KUR

Minister of Public Housing and Settlements (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, stated that BRI remains the largest distributor in the government's Housing KUR program.

"BRI is the bank with the largest contribution. Its realization reached Rp10.18 trillion, or about 52 percent of the national achievement," said Maruarar in Jakarta on Monday (22/6/2026).

According to him, the high disbursement by BRI indicates the increasing support from the banking sector for the housing financing program, which is one of the government's priorities.

Besides BRI, several other state-owned banks also contributed to the disbursement of Housing KUR, including Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), and Bank Mandiri.

Banking Support for the Housing Sector Increases

Not only national banks, but also several regional development banks have taken a role in distributing this financing.

The largest contribution from the regional development bank group comes from Bank Jateng. This is followed by Bank Bali, Bank Jatim, Bank Jabar, and Bank Sumut.

Meanwhile, from the private banking group, Bank Nobu is recorded as the largest distributor. The next positions are occupied by Bank Artha Graha and Bank Mandiri Taspen.

These figures indicate the increasingly broad involvement of the banking industry in supporting the development of the housing sector and expanding financing access for business actors and the public.

Housing KUR Expanded to Support the Property Industry

Previously, Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) was better known as a financing program for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, during the administration of President Prabowo Subianto, this scheme was expanded to the housing sector.

This policy aims to accelerate housing development while also driving the property industry's supply chain, which involves various supporting sectors.

The government noted that contractors, housing developers, and building material stores can now access financing through Housing KUR with a ceiling of up to Rp20 billion and an interest rate of 5 percent.

This program also has a direct impact on low-income communities, who can still obtain access to subsidized housing financing with a fixed interest rate of 5 percent and a down payment (DP) of 1 percent.

Housing KUR Ceiling Increased to Rp50 Trillion

The high interest and realization of disbursement have led the government to decide to increase the Housing KUR ceiling in 2026.

From the previous Rp36 trillion, the government has increased the program's ceiling to Rp50 trillion to expand financing access and maintain the momentum of national property sector growth.

With this ceiling increase, the government hopes that more business actors and the public can utilize the financing facilities to support housing development in various regions.

In addition to helping meet housing needs, this program is also expected to create a multiplier effect on economic growth through increased activity in the construction sector and other supporting industries.
